Inline Soundcloud Audio

Description

Use this content type to insert and audio clip into your page. 

The preferred method of incorporating sound clips in your content is from the SoundCloud website. Therefore, you must load the sound clip under the Wits channel to SoundCloud then use it in your content.

How to use it

  • Select create content from the actions menu beside the section you wish to add content to. In the content types, search for “inl” and you will see the following options.

  • Select the radio button next to Inline SoundCloud Audio and click on Next. You will be presented with the following screen.

  • Enter a unique Name for this sound clip.
  • Then enter a Title for the sound clip.
  • Now the Soundcloud embed code is required. Find the sound clip you wish to use from http://www.soundcloud.com and ensure that you open the clip as shown in the example below. In other words, ensure that the sound clip fills the screen.

  • Click on the Share button or the symbol. (Please note that sometimes only the symbol is displayed. Upon clicking, the following window will pop up.

  • Click on the button Embed at the top.

  • Copy the entire text in the window Code & preview and paste it in SITE MANAGER in the section marked Soundclound embed code as shown below.

  • Then click on Save Changes. Preview the page to confirm that the audio clip is working. You will be able to play this clip as well as be able to download it.
