Student Body
网易体育 60 new undergraduate students are accepted annually, with the undergraduate student body totalling 120-150. At any given time there are also 15-20 postgraduate students registered. Students come from all over South Africa for undergraduate training, and the department also attracts foreign elective students wishing to gain clinical experience in South African hospitals.
While most of the undergraduate students are recent school leavers, mature students are welcomed. The student body is drawn from a wide variety of cultures, religions and communities. With more and more male occupational therapists making their mark throughout the world, the stereotyped view that the profession is only for females is thankfully disappearing - however, female students remain in the majority at Wits (as in most training centres).
International students are encouraged to liaise with the Wits International Students' Centre to aid them in applying for studies at Wits.
