South African Actuaries Development Programme

The Programme seeks to actively address the problem of the acute shortage of Actuarial skills in the black community in South Africa. We do this by availing resources to young black students who have potential and a keen interest in pursuing Actuarial Science as a career.

Bursaries are awarded to students with a very good academic record at high school and/or university. The bursary covers some or all of the following:

  • Tuition
  • Residence
  • Meals
  • Living allowances and
  • Text book fees

SAADP renews the bursary each year depending on the good academic performance of a student. Students must therefore maintain good academic progress.
