SAAB 2025 Abstract Information
We invite delegates to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations for the 2025 SAAB conference. Please submit abstract using this link: https://forms.gle/iXiUsaNAyGdMZLCk8. Abstract submissions will be reviewed as soon as possible and by 31 May 2025 (latest) for early bird registration.
Please use the abstract template as a guide for formatting and submitting your abstract with the following in mind:
- Maximum word count - 300 words.
- Use 12-point Times New Roman as the font throughout; please apply Bold or Italics as indicated on the template
- The abstract should clearly convey the research aims, methods, results, and conclusions.
- Do not include references, figures, or tables.
- Please do not change the formatting of the abstract template – this will help us in collating the final abstract book.
- Indicate whether an Oral Paper or a Poster presentation.
- Specify the session/category that best fits your abstract:
- Ecology
- Evolution & Systematics
- Invasion Plant Biology
- Medicinal Plants/Ethnobotany
- Natural Resource Management and Conservation
- Physiology
- Plant Biotechnology
- Pollination Biology
Should you wish to submit additional abstracts for consideration, these abstracts could be accepted as poster presentations depending on the number of delegates and abstracts received.
Please note: The Best Young Scientist Award consists of a certificate and a R1000 cash awarded to the best oral paper delivered by a young botanist under 30 years of age.
Adjudication for all awards is done by delegates appointed by the LOC.
