Research

The department is actively involved in research and is home to the Bone Research Laboratory; a renowned research unit focused on tissue regeneration under the directorship of the world-renowned Professor Ugo Ripamonti.

Research interests: Given the broad nature of the discipline with three sub-divisions; the research interests of the department are reflective of the diversity of the discipline, and include: Tissue regeneration, Periodontitis, and systemic diseases, HIV infection, and Alternative diagnostic and management protocols for oral diseases.
