Launch of updated mining community toolkit

Join us for the virtual launch of an updated guide to social and labour plans for mining-affected communities
The Centre for Applied Legal Studies invites you to the virtual launch of our newly updated Social and Labour Plan Mining Community Toolkit on 13 October 2022 at 10:30. The toolkit is designed to assist communities in participating in social and labour plans throughout the life of mine and to monitor mining companies’ compliance with their commitments.
We have recently updated the toolkit so that it accurately captures important changes to the law relating to public participation and access to information in particular. The updated toolkit is currently available in English and Sepedi, with more versions in languages commonly spoken within mining-affected communities on the way soon. The launch will take place online via Zoom.
