Launch of the latest activist victimisation report

Join us on 6 December 2022 for the virtual launch of the second edition of 'Victimisation Experiences of Activists in South Africa'
The Centre for Applied Legal Studies invites you to the virtual launch of our latest research report on the nature of victimisation experienced by activists in South Africa. The report follows on from our 2018 publication which mainly focused on activists struggling for environmental justice. This report expands on those findings and captures the experiences of human rights defenders in many different areas, from community activism to whistleblowing.
The launch takes place on Tuesday 6 December 2022 from 10:00 – 12:30 online over Zoom. We are very pleased to host members of Abahlali baseMjondolo to give a keynote address.
