Publication Fees

Normal length articles (less than 30 published pages)

We have no page charge policy in place for normal length articles. The costs of typesetting and digital archiving these articles are entirely borne by our sponsors: the Palaeontological Scientific Trust (PAST) and its Scatterlings of Africa Programmes, the DST/NRF Centre of Excellence in Palaeosciences, and the University of the Witwatersrand. 

Long articles (in excess of 30 published pages) or Special Publications

The page charges for long articles or special volumes will be negotiated independently with the authors. They are based on the costs of our production team and vary each year. For estimation purposes, please plan on a budget of R300/page for these works.
