Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4)

The Sustainable Development Goal 4 aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all.”

A number of targets help achieve this goal.

• Target 4.c is specifically concerned with teacher education and by 2030 aims to "Substantially increase the supply of qualified teachers, including through international cooperation for teacher training in developing countries, especially least developed countries and small island developing States".
