I am a paediatric infectious disease specialist and have worked in the field of HIV medicine for the past 20 years. We run a large HIV clinic for children and adolescents at RMMCH. I am also the unit head for one of the general paediatric units at RMMCH.
I serve on the Southern African HIV Clinicians Society Paediatric and Adolescent Committee and the SASPID (South African Society of Paediatric Infectious Diseases) Executive Committee.

Clinical Duties

In-patient: Head of Unit 3 – one of the general paediatric units at RMMCH.
Outpatient: Infectious disease specialist in charge of Empilweni clinic – a clinic for children and adolescents infected with HIV.

Research

Involved in the CHAMPS (Child Health and Mortality Prevention Surveillance) Study.
